Today 2nd of October is Gandhi Jayanti. It is an event celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of ‘Father of The Nation‘ Mahatma Gandhi. 2nd October is celebrated as a national holiday in India. And not only in India, the UN General Assembly announced on 15 June 2007 that it adopted a resolution which declared that 2 October will be celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence.
Great quotes by Mahatma Gandhi:
“An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
“Where there is love there is life.”
“In a gentle way, you can shake the world.”
“If you don’t ask, you don’t get it“
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.“
“Action expresses priorities.”
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
“The future depends on what we do in the present.”
“Hate the sin, love the sinner.”
“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
Today is a national holiday, so there are no online classes today and I can relax a little bit but today I’m missing my school more. We celebrate this day really beautifully in our school. But we don’t have to forget Gandhi ji’s words, he taught us that ‘if you have strong determination, you can win any battle.’ So stay strong and positive. I’m sure the quotes have inspired you and now you are feeling much lighter. Thanks for visiting and for reading this post.
