There was a time when taking quizzes online used to be my favorite way to pass time. I mean I still love them, but it’s just the last time I took a quiz online was when I posted about that Hogwarts House quiz two years ago.
So yeah, it’s been a long time but suddenly, out of nowhere today I found myself searching for fun online quizzes and somehow stumbled upon this bookmark of Never Have I Ever questions I had saved on my browser at the beginning of this year. So it seems like I had planned to write this post months ago but never mind… We’re doing it today!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Q&A kind of post so I’m very much excited about it. I got a list of fun questions from Vogue India and I picked some of them to answer in this post. So without any further ado, let’s get started…
- Never have I ever Googled myself.
I have done that many times, lol. I mean my blog name literally starts with my own name so there’s no way I wouldn’t have. And fun fact – my blog appears on top when I google my name haha.
- Never have I ever broken a bone.
Nope, never. I’ve been very lucky in this case indeed.
- Never have I ever read an entire book in a day.
Oh yes, The Metamorphosis. I randomly found that book in my brother’s room one day. At first, I was just taking a look but then I only put the book down after I’d read it all.
- Never have I ever stayed up all night.
I have, two times actually, on the occasions of my cousins’ weddings. One thing about all the weddings I’ve ever attended, they will never go according to the decided time and be delayed 2-3 hours at least. But those were also two of the nights when I had most fun, so who’s complaining!
- Never have I ever ghosted someone.
Oh I never saw myself in the position of doing that. Like never found someone deserving, lol.
- Never have I ever had a crush on a teacher.
I wouldn’t really call it a crush and even if it was, I guess I was too young and dumb to realize it, but I had two teachers (one in middle school and one in high school) that I admired a lot. I mean they were super nice to me and always there to help, on my side, I was always looking for opportunities when I could prove myself and impress them, make them say, “yeah, that’s my student!”
- Never have I ever cheated on a test.
I tried once lol. And I sucked at it badly. So I was in 6th grade and we had a class test that day but I didn’t know about it. The teachers would never suspect me of cheating as I was good at studies so that usually gave me lots of chances to cheat if I wanted to. And this time I actually tried to take a peek at my notebook but I was so scared someone would see me, plus my pride was hurting too, so I just gave it up. And that was better.
- Never have I ever had a surprise party thrown for me.
Not a party but I was overwhelmed when my friends surprised me with cake last year a day before my birthday (since it’s always a holiday on the actual date). It was the first time when I ever celebrated my birthday with my friends, so that’s quite a special memory for me.
- Never have I ever pretended to be sick to get out of school.
This I’ve done a couple of times. It was when I had to go to somewhere with my family but I’d also have an important class or something to do at school, so yeah… lol.
- Never have I ever cried at school.
Oh this one… quite a few times. The last time I did so was when I was in the staff room to get my result, and one of these teachers said, “but we were expecting better from you, Poorwa”. I could reply nothing at the moment and just left the room with an apologetic smile. I was in the middle of the playground when I broke down. Just when I did, this girl came running from behind me and said the teachers had told her to escort me back to the office. Maybe they saw it on my face when I was leaving haha, they all tried to comfort me later. I knew my teacher, she didn’t mean to hurt me, and I wasn’t hurt but just disappointed in myself. She was one of my favorite teachers in school. So it was kind of a bitter-sweet moment.
- Never have I ever fainted.
No, but I clearly remember this day of school when I came very close to it. So it was when we had to stand for a long time in the morning assembly and I don’t know why it was so hot that day. But then we were walking towards our classroom which was on the other side of the playground, so we were walking under the blazing sun and I remember everything suddenly going black and white, I couldn’t feel my footsteps and I didn’t know what was happening to me so I quickly grabbed my friend’s arm and tried to hurry us inside the building as fast as I could. Luckily, I got my vision back to normal as soon as we entered the classroom.
- Never have I ever left someone on “read.”
Yeah I’ve done quite many times that but only with my good friends because they understand and know that I might be busy and will reply later anyway. Like many times I open a message but suddenly have to do something else at the moment so I reply later when I have time. And I also take time to write a reply because they’re often essays and I don’t like to rush it so yeah…
- Never have I ever copied someone else’s homework.
I have had some incidents like that in my school life when I was going to but thought better and just did the homework myself. The reason? Well, to be honest, I was quite a pride student and always liked doing my work by myself. Another reason was that I never felt satisfied by others’ work until I tried it myself and saw if I’m doing worse. Looking back, I find it sometimes funny because I took everything too seriously, yet I wouldn’t change anything about it even if I could.
- Never have I ever had a near-death experience.
Oh yes, that was one terrible night. So it was me and my sister on scooty, we were going back home and she was driving. So we were waiting to cross the road when this truck driver in front of us suddenly started pulling the truck in reverse in our direction and we were just behind it. It’s not in my behavior to compliment my sister’s driving but she did an amazing job that night and prevented a horrific accident from happening.
We were both scared to death as we were honking and screaming but the driver was clueless and he wouldn’t stop. At the exact moment, my cousin’s friends saw us and they came running towards the driver’s window in rage, and that’s when he noticed and stopped the truck. Though we had already managed to get out of the way, we were terrified to think of what could’ve had happened. That day I added a truck to my ‘Things I fear the most’ list.
So that’s all for today. I didn’t know this post would turn into a storytelling thing, but it was fun to answer all the questions nonetheless. If there are any stories these questions remind you of, do share them in the comment section. And if you have any more Never Have I Ever questions for me, feel free to go ahead and drop them below.
Thanks for reading!
