Answering Your Questions // Pt. 3

Hey everyone! Welcome to the final part of our Q&A session. A big thanks to everyone who sent in their questions, I really loved answering all of them. Hope you enjoy reading this post…

Thanks to Sophie @ Me & Ink for her questions. Here are my answers to them…

What is the most memorable advice you have been given/heard?

My comfort advice from my favorite artist Taeyong, he said…

“It’s okay even if things happen. It’s not like you’re okay or you can do it. It’s more like, “so what ?”. Such is life. Things can happen and it’s okay. It’s not about overcoming challenges. It’s about living with them. If there’s pain, you live with pain. If there’s happiness, you live with happiness. that’s it.”

What is a positive of social media you think is overlooked?

I don’t think people acknowledge the beauty of online friendships enough. For me, social media is very less about just posting pictures, it is more of a way of finding more like-minded people. And the friends I’ve made on social media are some of best people I’ve ever met. It’s incredible how you can feel so comfortable sharing things with them that you can never imagine opening up about in front of other people. Besides that toxicity social media brings, there’s a wonderful side of it that we don’t talk about enough.

Who is one of your favourite characters?

Oh there are so many characters… how do I chose one!? Okay, I’ll go with my favorite from the books I’ve read in the past two months. It’ll be the FMC of Twisted Hate. I freaking love Jules Ambrose. Actually, Josh Chen is my favorite too. Ah these two leads are what you say ‘fictional characters on top’ for.

What is one of your most favorite song lyrics?

Again, there’s not one right answer for this question. I have favorite lyrics from every song I like. But whenever I think of lyrics that always hit the hardest, I think of BTS’ songs. Here’s a part of one of my favorites by them – Zero o’ clock…

Put my hands together to pray
Hoping that tomorrow I’ll laugh more, for me
It’ll be better, for me
When this song ends
May a new song begin
Hoping that I’ll be a little happier, yeah

Now I’m going to answer the questions sent to me by Tottochan. Thanks for participating in the Q&A!

What inspired you to start your own blog?

My teacher. She was the first teacher who encouraged me to try new things and do what I like. While all the other teachers only saw me as someone who was good at studies and always expected great results from me, she was the first to believe that I could do more than that. She didn’t directly encourage me start a blog, but it was her who gave me the confidence I needed to start writing.

Who are 3 of your favorite bloggers?

Here are my three favorite bloggers that I always look up to and who inspire me to take my keep blogging…

Fav youtuber

Oh it will be Dhruv Rathee. I became a fan of him after watching his videos talking about feminism, patriarchy, and Kolkata’s case. It feels good to see that he is using his platform to talk about important issues instead of just saying what’s easier for the society to hear.

Why did you start blogging?

I just wanted to try something new in the lockdown. Little did I knew that blogging would change my life for ever.

If you have to describe yourself in 3 sentences/words what would they be?

Oh I have no idea of how to answer this. You guys answer for me please!

What is your type of aesthetic?

The kind Pavithra has over her Instagram page @ Small Talks. Whenever I see her posts, I always become fascinated by the aesthetics. She just gets it right.

What’s something many people don’t know about you?

Many people don’t know that I have a bad temper actually. So they don’t think before getting on my nerves and don’t expect me to argue, only to be left speechless in the end and calling me dramatic because they can’t put up a better debate.

Tell an interesting fact about you.

Umm…. Let me think… I’ll be only nineteen when I complete my bachelor’s degree next year. Is that interesting? Sorry, I can’t  really think of anything better right now.

If you have to choose three person to tell about you to us, who would they be? what do you think they would say about you?

First would be my brother. I don’t have any idea what he would exactly say about me but if I’m out of earshot, then I’m positive it will be something good. Second person would be my online sister – suba, I’ve told her things I haven’t shared with anyone in my life so yeah, she knows me well. And then of course, Pavithra, she can tell you better than anyone about what I like, what I dislike, we literally share the same brain cells so yeah, these three would be it.

What’s your life motto?

I can’t define this perfectly, but I feel like I just want to make memories with people I love. I want them to think of good memories when they think of me, I want them to think of a song I recommended to them when they see my face, and for me, I want to make strong connections and surround myself with people who make me see hope and make me want to do something to make them smile.

Something that represents you (like, for me, it’s teddy bear 🧸)….it can be a book, flower, animal or anything

One more time, I have no idea, sorry. You guys answer this for me.

Something you love about yourself but didn’t tell anyone?

I love my hair. I love how it gets fluffy and gets natural curls since I’ve cut them a little short. But the reason why I don’t tell anyone is because whenever they notice my hair, they always go like why did you cut your hair shorter, they were so long before… blah, blah , blah. It totally ruins my mood you know, like, whether I want to keep my hair long, short or get a military haircut, it’s my choice and my hair. Why are people always so quick to judge?

So that’s all. Phew… it was a fun Q&A. I once again thank everyone for sending their questions and turning this simple Q&A into a fun series kind of thing. I think we will have to give it another shot soon. Maybe if I participate in this year’s Blogmas, we can have another session like this then.

I hope you enjoyed reading my answers.

Thanks for visiting! See you next time!

That’s a beautiful quote by Taeyong. It’s so wise and just what I needed to hear today. Thanks, Poorwa. Cindy and Pooja are my favourites too. I have got to check out Helen’s Blog. I like your life motto. And yes, your hair style is your choice. I don’t know why people feel the need to keep encroaching on that territory

i love your take on online friendships! and I totally agree. :))

same for your motto! i think it’s beautiful.

should i read the twisted series? I’m always a bit skeptical about books that are purely romance xD but I’ve heard mixed reviews about this one so I’m not sure..

      Thanks Evin! ❤️

I loved the twisted series. I won’t say it was purely romance, a big part of the stories is based on friendships, past traumas, family dynamics etc.The storyline and the characters are really great, so I think it’s definitely worth giving a try. But there’s also many spice scenes so be careful lol

It is hard to pick a favourite lyric but I love the one you shared… “Hoping that tomorrow I’ll laugh more” is a lovely, bittersweet sentiment.
