Hey everyone! How have you been? So as you already know after reading the title, today I’ll be reviewing Little Mix’s first ever ‘greatest hits’ album Between Us.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you know how a huge fan I am of Little Mix. I already love this whole album as it’s full of their awesome hits, so this review post is especially for those who haven’t listened to many of Little Mix’s songs yet and are confused where to start or simply want some song recommendations. This post is for you!

About the album…
Between Us is the first ‘greatest hits’ album by Little mix released on 12 November 2021. The standard edition (which I’ll be reviewing today) includes 22 tracks, 18 of which are their previous singles and 4 are new tracks, plus one more new track on specific formats. Little Mix described the album as “a celebration of 10 years of hits, friendship, new tracks, and so much more”. They also dedicated the album to their fans and thanked them for their support over the last ten years.

Now, let’s begin the review…

“Wings” (from DNA, 2012)
Yes, they’ve been releasing hits from day one. And I don’t think there could be a better debut single than this. The MV really stands out for me, it’s bright, well directed and each member shines equally. I remember how crazy I was behind this song once and I still love it the same. You can find various performances on YouTube, I especially recommend the acoustic ones, they are literally the best.
“DNA” (from DNA, 2012)
~~it’s in his DNA… in his, in his DNA, it’s in his DNA… D-D-D-D-DNA~~ and here comes another bop! I like the MV a lot, they all look so gorgeous and of course, the song is fantastic. I like how they did the background vocals and I don’t know why this song gives me Halloween vibes. More than the original version I love the acapella a lot (click here to watch one of my favorites) but I got to share this performance below they gave on X-factor 2012, you’re gonna love it.
“Move” (from Salute, 2013)
Okay so you got to check it out! I love Move so so so much! It’s fun, it’s wild, it’s crazy, it’s energetic, it’s beautiful and so on. If you like songs like Black Magic or Levitating by Dua Lipa, you’re gonna love it too. The chorus and bridge are my absolute favorites and also this performance below…
“Salute” (from Salute, 2013)
Salute never gets old. For me, it’s the best ever woman empowerment song and I can never get tired by saying it. They literally made a national anthem for women. The lyrics are pure gold and it will boost up your souls. And y’all should definitely listen to this song if you haven’t yet, you’re missing out huge. It’s not about taking over the world or stomping men but represents women as fighters, as strong individuals, as their own person, someone that doesn’t need a man to know who they are. Each performance is better than another and I really can’t choose one so don’t forget to check out the performances too.

“Black Magic” (from Get Weird, 2015)
Do I even have to say about this? It’s a Six out of Five song! I always recommend this song or Salute the first whenever someone asks me about Little Mix’s music. There’s a great MV, the lyrics are fun and lovely, then you can find lots of performances too (I highly recommend the acoustic ones). A must listen!
“Secret Love Song, Pt. II” (from Get Weird, 2015)
For me, it’s hard to choose a most-favorite song when it’s about Little Mix’s songs but I can surely say that this one is incomparable. From lyrics to their vocals, everything is beautiful and heart touching. There are two versions, one featuring Jason Derulo and the other one is called Pt. 2, I love both of them. I don’t think I need to say much, you’ll surely love it. Check out this performance below…
“Hair” (feat. Sean Paul; from Get Weird, 2015)
And here comes the song that got me into Little Mix. If I had to describe it in three words, I’d say – fun, energetic and cool. It’s quite similar to Move you’ll know when you listen to it first. I love the MV a lot and the acoustic version is also beautiful. For now, this is the performance I want to share here…
“Shout Out to My Ex” (from Glory Days, 2016)
One of the very songs that makes the Little Mix today. It’s one of their best sing-along songs and loved by all of their fans since it’s been released. Though I don’t count it in my favorites, I like it a lot!

“Touch” (from Glory Days, 2016)
It’s one of my most favorite songs ever! Though I’m not a big fan of the mv, it definitely is one of their best tracks. The lyrics are very sweet and lovely and the acoustic version is so pleasant to ears. I can’t choose one between the acoustic and the original version because I like listen to both of them everyday and never get bored.
“No More Sad Songs” (feat. Machine Gun Kelly; from Glory Days, 2016)
If you’re feeling low and want something refreshing then this is the song for you. Everything is just perfect about it. Their voices just go so well together with the background music, plus their vocals… outstanding.
“Power” (featuring Stormzy; from Glory Days, 2016)
One of Little Mix’s most popular songs that is another woman empowerment song. I don’t think I have so say much about Power because it’s a song you’ll like yourself, it’s that powerful.
“Reggaetón Lento” (remix, with CNCO; from CNCO and Glory Days: The Platinum Edition, 2017)
And here comes the song that got me into Spanish songs and CNCO too. It’s literally one of the best music collaborations ever. A song that makes you dance and sing along, also gets better every time you listen to it. If you haven’t listened to it already, you know what I’m gonna say so… do it!
“Woman Like Me” (feat. Nicki Minaj; from LM5, 2018)
Another bop here!!! I don’t really like Nicki Minaj to be honest (no offense though), I like her part the most in this song. I love how catchy this song is, especially the chorus and of course, the rap part. And yes, this performance below on X Factor, don’t forget to check it out…

“Heartbreak Anthem” (with Galantis and David Guetta)
I like Heartbreak Anthem but not that much really. It’s nice but the high beats seem a little unnecessary to me. So it really doesn’t stand out for me but you may like it so give it a try.
“Kiss My (Uh-Oh)” (with Anne-Marie; from Therapy, 2021)
I like it much better than Heartbreak Anthem and it’s a really nice song but the way I love Anne-Marie’s and Little Mix’s songs, I don’t like it the same. Though I like it better today than I did last time so I think I should listen to it a few more times.
“No“
Okay so I’ve been listening to it since tomorrow on repeat and it’s getting better and better. I don’t really understand what the MV is about so I can’t say about that yet but I love the lyrics so much. It’s a song that you’ll simply like to listen to anytime.
“Between Us”
As a fan of Little Mix for years this song is really special to me. And let’s talk about the Lyric Video first, is there a better lyric video than this!? I never like to watch lyric videos but look at me now watching it again and again. 10 years is not a short period of time and it feels so good to see that they’ve come so far. You should definitely listen to it, I’m telling you it’s what a beautiful song in the world is called. Love ya, girls!
“Love (Sweet Love)“
As from the lyrics you can guess it’s all about self love. Not the boring type but a song that is enough to fill your body and soul with energy and love for yourself. One of my recent favorites and gosh, they look so good in the MV. Now, shouldn’t you go and show this song and yourself some love?
“Cut You Off”
Ah I’m sad that it’s coming to an end… So Cut You Off as I didn’t expect they really used sounds of knives in the background music, yeah that’s the highlight of the song. It’s not my favorite but I’m loving it a lot. It’s literally a sad song that doesn’t sound like one on some parts, about cutting off the toxic person in your life. My favorite part is the chorus, they did it so beautifully…

“Trash”
If you’re done with something or someone, this song’s gonna fit your mood. Though that’s not the matter with me, it’s like a crazy but sad track that I always like. The lyrics are kinda sad but fun, if you have listened to Selena Gomez’s Rare album, you know it gives me those vibes. You should give it a try, it’s great!

Favorite song lyrically: Between Us
I’d give this album a rating of 7 out of 5 but since it’s a ‘greatest hits’ album and most of the songs are previously released singles, this rating was mainly based on how I liked the new tracks. Each and every single track in this album and special and a big hit. That’s why I like Little Mix, they know how to make music.
