Introducing New Series… “K-pop Unwind”

Okay, so we all saw this coming, didn’t we?

I had been thinking of starting this series for quite a long time but back-to-back exams, me being on blogging hiatus plus the thought of whether my readers will like it or not… I was so confused if I should do it or not. But then I got reminded of what I say to my fellow blogger friends… you should post what you like and don’t care about what others think, those who genuinely like your blog will support you always.

So here I am! Starting another music series on my blog… K-pop Unwind.

As you already know, I love doing Album Reviews and sharing my recommendations with you all (which I haven’t done for a while but I promise to start it again very soon) but as I was going through my Review posts I realized I haven’t done it for any K-pop albums or songs except for NCT 127 Sticker (album) and Butter by BTS. And being the huge music lover I am, I love both Korean and Western pop equally so I had to come up with this series.

Another reason I can think why I finally decided to start this series is that K-pop is judged on a big level for some nonsense reasons which used to make me angry before but now I find them funny. Still, it hurts me when people who literally know nothing about those talented artists and haven’t even listened to their music, judge and talk bad about such a beautiful music industry.

Through this series, I want to introduce my blog’s readers to some great music and outstanding artists everyone needs to know. This is not a post on the internet saying K-pop is the best, I just want to say that it’s not overrated at all. I don’t mean to force you to like K-pop or listen to their music in any way. When someone gives you a song recommendation they just want to share the happiness or the feeling they get from that music with you.

More about the series…

K-pop Unwind will be a monthly series on Poorwa’s blog and in each post, I’ll be reviewing one of my recent favorite K-pop songs and at the end of the post, there will be another song (by the same artist) I’ll share as a bonus recommendation.

I really can’t wait to start this series because I have just so many flawless K-pop songs running in my mind right now, I’m just so excited to write about their cool concepts, choreographies, music videos, style and music, of course. Plus, I will also review K-drama OSTs in this series.

If interested, you can also contact me to do a collab together for a song review on this series.

The first post of K-pop Unwind will be posted this Monday (11th April) at 4 PM (IST).

So that’s all! Please show your support and look forward to this series a lot.

P.S.- I didn’t know this post is going to be published on one of the most iconic K-pop stars, SHINee member Jonghyun’s birthday. Happy birthday in heaven angel, you’ll live forever in the hearts of millions of people. Love and miss you always…
