Hey everyone!
So the first post of my brand new series K-pop Unwind is here!
To know more about this series, click here.
As I told you in the introduction post, this is not a ‘review’ series but a ‘recommendations’ series where I’ll bring you some awesome K-pop songs that I personally love a lot, so there will be no rating any songs at the end of the posts in this series because the songs I’ll be recommending you here I already give them a rating of 5 stars.
And to give this it a fresh start there could be nothing better than Snapping by Chungha, to be honest. So without wasting any time, let’s get into it…

Snapping – CHUNG HA
Snapping, the title track of Chungha’s fourth EP Flourishing, released on June 24, 2019, is a Dance-pop summer track with R&B vibes.
These kinds of songs are literally my favorites. Not really talking about the lyrics right now because personally for me, lyrics come second. Snapping is super catchy and it is exciting enough to keep my head nodding with it. I only like a few songs at my first listen and Snapping got me here. Especially the chorus… it’s lit.
Now taking a look at the lyrics, honestly, I’ve listened to this song a hundred times but it’s the first time I’m reading its English lyrics (yup, my Korean vocabulary is not so great yet). So yes, the lyrics are really good though I don’t seem to understand its main focus, but you know, when the song is such a bop it doesn’t matter if the lyrics are deep or not, it just has to be good and Snapping is it. While listening to the song when she sings “Snapping, snapping” it feels like a magic spell that empties your mind and makes you feel fearless for tomorrow. That was my thought on the lyrics. You can check out the lyrics here.

Now talking about the MV… my absolute favorite… guys, you’ve got to watch it. Whoever has directed the MV is a genius. The cinematography, shadows, lightening, other CG effects, the fencing scene and just the whole music video… brilliant.
And finally, the choreography and her vocals. You can watch the Dance Practice video by clicking here but I prefer the video above (from Be Original) because I love the performance stages of Studio Choom, they always do an excellent job. The choreography is perfect for this song as it showcases the attitude and the sassy concept very well. We all know Chungha is a brilliant dancer and she’s killing it as always.

The visuals, outfits… everything, I’m in love with this song and Chungha, your new fan is here.
