Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my blog.
So a few days ago, I asked you all to ask me questions in my post Ask Me Anything #5. Though the response wasn’t so big as last time we did a Q&A, I got really interesting questions so I’m very much excited to answer them. I know this post was supposed to be published yesterday but I got a few more questions later so I decided to do it today.
[If you somehow missed my post and want to ask me something, feel free to just scroll down to the comment section and leave your questions. I’d be glad to answer them.]
Let’s get started…
If you wrote a book what would be its name?
I’ve thought about this quite many times so I have a pretty good list of names. But I really want my first book’s title to have my name, so it would be Poorwa. When I think about it, it just sounds Indian and is meaningful, so I really like that. Other than Poorwa, the top 3 names on my list are- White Night, Forgetting You, and Spring Day. These names are inspired by three songs I truly love.
If you could give yourself a pen name what would it be?
Ivy. Names that start with ‘I’ just sound so ethereal.
Fav season?
I don’t have one. I love and hate every season at some point. I used to think winter is my favorite season but that changed last year. Then at the start of 2022, I thought my favorite season will be summer but I felt badly sick last month and I totally blame summer for that so… nope. These days I’m liking rain a lot but I’m sure this feeling too will change soon. I love spring and autumn, but we don’t really have cherry blossoms in India, and the fall season is nothing special where I live.
Bloggers you find very sweet and kind?
Well, for this question, I want to name all of my readers because I’ve never received any rude comments on my blog and all of them are very supportive. Still, I want to mention my very first WP friends here who supported me to continue blogging, and they are Nilla @ Image Earth Travel and Lori @ Diary of a Gen-X Traveler. Do check out their wonderful blogs guys!
Can you picture yourself still blogging 5 years from now? 10 years from now?
Umm… maybe. I don’t really know. I love blogging and never really want to stop writing and sharing my work with the world like this. So there’s a big possibility that Poorwa’s blog will be active around the internet for many years from now on. But I would be lying if I said I never had the thought of stopping my blog. But don’t worry you guys, I can picture myself blogging for years from now.
The one book you recommend to everyone?
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I just finished reading it yesterday and yes, it’s definitely worth reading. I may do a review too, I’m not sure, because it was quite impactful and I just can’t stop thinking about the story it tells.
If you had to start a new blog – what would you call it and what would you write about?
A blog for just song/album reviews – Sweet Melodies. I really enjoy doing music review posts and it’d be fun to have a certain blog for just that, and I might start it one day, who knows haha.
What is one life goal of yours?
To live a healthy life. Both mentally and physically.
Excellent at one thing vs pretty good at many things
I somehow want to choose ‘pretty good at many things’ but I’ll go with ‘excellent at one thing’. If I were an excellent singer I would definitely choose singing as a career.
Favorite color?
Navy blue. Sky blue. Sky pink.
A skill you would like to learn(like dancing, cooking, etc)?
Dancing, that’s it. It’s been my dream to join a dance academy and I definitely want to improve my dancing skills.
Saree vs lehenga
If it’s for someone else, then I’ll go with saree. But if I’m the one to wear one of these, I’ll go with lehenga. I have no opinions on it.
What got you into anime and K-Pop?
I’m a big fan of Dragon Ball Z and I think that’s what got me into anime. Watching anime, for me, is like a stress reliever. I enjoy it so much. And K-pop, ahh where do I start? I got introduced to K-pop by BTS and it didn’t take me any time to fall for their charms. I love talented people and K-pop is like an ocean filled with talents. And after that, I love how they share lots of behind-the-scenes content of K-pop idols and that was something I found very interesting.
A degree you think is super overrated, and why you think it’s so?
None. I think it depends on students and their interests. I know because of social pressure, in India especially, medical and engineering degrees are seen as the biggest achievement and sometimes I too think they are overrated. But that’s not true because those fields are creative and good. But it doesn’t mean others are any less. Ask students how much hard work it takes to achieve something.
The one food you can’t give up on, no matter what?
Spicy food. Indian food. Panipuri. There’d be barely anyone in India who doesn’t like Panipuri and it’s absolutely the best snack out there (for those who like it, of course).
Would you rather learn all the languages in the world, or learn all the instruments in the world?
All the languages. I don’t need to think twice about it. Even if I learned all the instruments in the world, I’d hardly get any chance to play all of them. But learning all the languages is something really huge, and is that even possible? I wouldn’t stop talking if I knew all the languages in the world.
Short or long hair?
Average length, just what I have now. I like short hair but when I had it in 8th grade, I badly wanted to have long hair. Then my hair was very long in 11th and 12th grade, and I was really loving it, but with time it started to annoy me. So I got a new haircut recently which is neither short nor long and I’m totally satisfied with this new look.
How to regain myself back to being positive?
Grab your headphone and take a walk out in nature. It always works. Play your favorite music, something that relaxes you, and look up at the sky. Watch the floating clouds and if your heart feels heavy just let the tears flow down and hear the sound of nature. You’ll definitely feel better. Once again embrace yourself and do your favorite things, things that make you happy. Talk to someone, eat something delicious, and watch your favorite performances on YouTube. It will be okay.
So that’s all! I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks to everyone who sent their questions. I had lots of fun answering them. Let me know in the comments if you could relate to any of my answers.
See you next time!
