It’s been 3 years since I signed up with WordPress.com and started blogging as well as started writing. It’s a weird feeling to be honest, when one day out of nowhere you show up online and decide to write. Into a community full of strangers, and did I mention that when I first started blogging I had no social media profiles or online friends? I’ve been through times when I wished I wasn’t a blogger and wanted to delete this space, but I didn’t, I couldn’t. There was no way I could have imagined that this small corner of the internet would become so dear to me.
I’ve been inconsistent in blogging, despite how much I love it. There was a time when I would blog regularly, but with 12th exams approaching and uni life starting, it became harder and harder to remember when a small break from blogging turned into a long hiatus. I try to get back on track and it happens again. But here are the reasons why I don’t quit blogging…

Blogging is Worth it
Whether or not you make money from it, blogging is an endeavor that is worth your time and effort. For me, it’s not just about how many views I get on my posts but the fact that people gave their time reading my posts, it’s something so special. In the way you’ll even come across people who will be joining in your journey for lifetime.
It enhances my skills.
Blogging can be an effective teacher. You learn with experience and your skills improve over time. Blogging gave me this thing for writing, I started designing graphics, learned about editing and stuff, and I believe there are still a ton of intriguing things I can accomplish with blogging. Blogging is one of my favorite hobbies As much as I love drawing and playing the guitar, I love blogging. I don’t feel judged here and I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts with y’all. I can write poems, share my photography, ask for advice, read wonderful stories, and communicate with people worldwide… it’s just so cool.
Inspiring people
Amazing writers, imaginative thinkers, kind individuals, and artists abound in the blogosphere. Except for those spammers and copycats, this community is filled with creativity and talent which is super inspiring. Sometimes my WP Reader makes me simply stop and think WOW, like there’s such great content. And since I follow these amazing people, I want to support them forever.
Memories
This got to be my biggest motivation to keep blogging even if I get stuck sometimes. I’ve made some wonderful friends through this community whom I want to be forever with. Even though most of them are not active on WordPress anymore, we still chat about those times when it felt like a wonderland to us.
So here you have it. The more I think about it, the more I realize how special this community makes me feel. As bloggers we all face writers’ block at times and moments when we want to stop but whenever you get this feeling, I want you to remember all the wonderful memories you’ve built here and why you enjoy blogging.
