Well done, everyone! We’ve made it halfway through 2024.
How was June? For me, it was practically all about worrying about the future. And even though it has been pretty stressful, I’m glad that I’ve finally started thinking seriously about this stuff. And that’s a big achievement on its own you know (gotta give yourself affirmations like these time-to-time).
Now once I give my 4th semester finals, there’ll be only one year left before my graduation and though I’ve never expressed it to my family or friends, I’m too worried about what will I do after that. Everyone tells me that you’ve got a lot of time in your hands, but maybe they don’t know yet that since 2019, a year feels like 2-3 months at most. I mean 2024 was a new year, wasn’t it? What do you mean we’re already in July?

Books
I completed reading To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before the day I posted my monthly wrap-up for May. And then I straight went for its sequel – PS I Still Love You. I liked the both books equally. Hopefully I will post a review of the series soon, I can’t be certain of when will I post it because my schedule this July is going to be very tight and this writer’s block just won’t go away easily but let’s see.
A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder was hands down my favorite read of the month. I loved the whole series. To read my review, click here.
Movies
I only watched one new movie last month – Kung Fu Panda 4. I had big expectations from this movie as Kung Fu Panda is one of my favorite series, but this one didn’t really stand out for me. What I didn’t like is that whenever there’s a new movie in a series, I hope that some dots here will connect to its prequels. I also am not a big fan of ‘out of nowhere’ characters or plots, then we had our Furious Five missing in the movie. I won’t say it was bad, I mean I liked it and it was fun watching too but if I had to rank the Kung Fu Panda movies, this one would be my least favorite.
This July, I’m looking forward to rewatch the Insidious series.
Songs
Same as May, June too was just me playing random songs according to my mood. The artist I listened to the most was probably aespa, I’m becoming a big fan of them. Then on some days, I would hear Shawn Mendes and Taylor Swift for hours, next day there’d be Billie Eilish and BTS and on some days I had NCT and One Direction as my saviors. I’m super obsessed with the song Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish, and I guess her new album is my sign of diving into her discography. I’m loving her music.
- Armageddon – aespa
- Birds Of A Feather – Billie Eilish
- Cosmic – Red Velvet
- Supernova – aespa
- But Daddy I Love Him – Taylor Swift
- Broken Melodies – NCT Dream
- Eight – IU feat. Suga
- Lights – BTS
- Colors – NCT 127
- Stay Alive – Jungkook
- Once In A Lifetime – One Direction
We’re already in the second week of July, and I’ve had my fair share of happiness and sorrow in the last week. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to blog much this much this month because it is possible my exams will start very soon since our seniors have already got their time-tables, so I have prioritize my job as a student for the time being. I also want to give time to my other hobbies, especially sketching, I miss drawing faces.
What are you guys up to these days? I’d love to hear from you. Let’s chat in the comments.
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a great month ahead.
