My Life And The Pandemic

I’m not really in a great mood for writing but when I realized that it’s been over a week and my mood is not changing at all, I decided to write (even though I don’t want to). I have this fear that if I continue to be this lazy, it’ll get harder to come back to work. Help me to discover my love for blogging again. This post will be about how my life is going in lockdown and the entire getting worse situation… I just want to write down all my thoughts in this post today and I’m hundred percent sure it’s gonna work.

(But let me first give you this reminder of the Photography Contest, today is May 12, 2021, and the final date of submitting your entry is May 15, 2021, so please hurry up. If you want some more time, feel free to let me know. All the best!)

These days I’m thinking about the vaccination process in India… actually I’m really worried. No, I don’t doubt the vaccines but I’m worried about the other things. People going to vaccination centers and as you can watch in the news, it’s hard to see social distancing. People have really forgotten about why they are getting vaccinated. And on the other hand, many people are refusing to get the vaccine. It really sounds funny but the way people believe in rumors is out of the world. If you tell someone that the vaccine is safe and good, they will hardly believe you but if you spread a rumor… you’ll get a high vote of people. I want to say, please don’t believe in rumors. Getting vaccinated is the only way to end this pandemic and we all have to believe.

I’m 15 and the only one left in my family to get my first dose of vaccine and I don’t have an idea when I’ll get mine but I’m completely ready for it. My parents and siblings have got their first dose of vaccine, and they are absolutely safe and fine. My elder sister and brother just got half vaccinated today and they are doing well. On the day my mom got her first dose of vaccine, she was great for the first 5 hours but after that, she was really in pain and had a bad headache for 4-5 hours but she got back to normal the other day. My Dad’s arm was sore and took complete rest for a day, after that he was also fine. I don’t know when people under 18 will get vaccinated in India; it would be indeed very hard to handle the huge population of our country, I’m quite excited for my turn. You might not know this thing about me but I don’t fear injections at all, I’ll make sure to share my vaccination experience with you.

Now, what should I write about….. yes, the situation is getting worse day by day in the country and also in my hometown. Yesterday again, two of my neighbors tested positive and they are admitted in hospital now. Honestly, I had never expected that I would see this day. I used to think my hometown is the safest place… no floods, no earthquakes, no tornadoes, no typhoons… a place far from all the disasters. I had never thought that Covid 19 would affect me like this. Yesterday my friend told me that her sister also tested positive and they are home-quarantined now. Her sister is only 10 years old and I’m really worried about her. I mean it’s really annoying to hear sad news all the time, especially when it’s about the people you personally know. This pandemic has separated humans from humans really. It’s a human nature that when someone is sick or in a problem we go and take care of that person but this virus has made it impossible now.

And I’ve got to know about something called ‘Black Fungus’ which sounds scarier than corona. I don’t have much information about this but I know that it’s affecting the people who have recovered from corona. And that’s just so sad and problematic. I just hope that doctors find a better solution to save people as soon as possible from this.

Ooh… I didn’t want to talk about all these things but I had to. I guess we all are thinking the same these days, it’s the biggest matter. I wish I could write about my school life of 12th grade but unfortunately, you know we can’t think of going to school. I think this is how my last year of school is going to be; I’ll make another sad post on this topic but let it be for this time. My online classes haven’t started yet, we have summer holidays so I’m (not really) enjoying it. My favorite things that make my mood light up are of course music and mangoes. From today morning, I’m listening to Little Mix a lot. I didn’t like their new album Confetti a lot (just being honest) but I can say that nothing can beat their other albums and songs. If you haven’t listened to their songs yet, you’re really missing out. Their fans call them Acapella Queens and you’ll know why when you watch to their acoustic performances, but I don’t know why they are so underrated, if you want to give the girls a chance I’m here to recommend my favorite songs by them. And you already know how much I love K-pop, I’m listening to NCT these days and their music is also great. I wanted to ask, would you like to see a post on K-pop? Let me know in the comments, I’ll be happy to write one.

So that’s all. Woah, I can’t believe I wrote this much! Now I want to write more, so I guess I’ll be back into regular posting very soon. Thanks a lot for reading!

How’s your life going in this pandemic?

    Friendly tip:
Try breaking your big chunky paragraphs into small paras with 3-4 lines! That way people would enjoy it more.

  3. I so relate..I’ve been so down and out these past few weeks! I live in Delhi and the situation here is scary. So many people around me are affected and it breaks my heart. I’ve been so anxious reading the news. It’s been even scarier hearing people’s experiences. And it feels so helpless not being able to do anything. 😓

I can’t wait to get vaccinated either – if I get a slot that is. I’m waiting for 2 weeks to let the mania settle and then I’ll try to get a slot. But yesss, everyone needs to get vaccinated ASAP!! It’s the only way out for India!

I’m guessing they’ll start vaccination for younger people from next month! So don’t worry – you’ll get vaccinated soon. Take care! ❤️

  4. Good luck with vaccination! Blue fungus sounds crazy I found an article about it and I’ll link it in this. My life is going well here in the uae and everything is safe! Also about the photography competition can you expand the deadline for me because Eid is tommorow and I won’t be able to submit my entry until Tuesday because of Eid as by family celebrate for days. I am not at the age to get vaccinated in the uae I have to be and even if I was I would not take it.

  5. Honestly, I thought this post was pretty short. 😬😁And yess I would love to see a post on k-pop!! I would say this pandemic was more of a pro for me. There are cons too ofcourse, but I don’t think I would ever have done anything other than academics if it weren’t for the pandemic. Therefore I am grateful but yes I want this to end bcz it’s so tough for so many people. Aaaaand u r just 15 and already in 12th??!! I am thirteen and in 9th.

    1. Thanks, will try to write one! I know, I wouldn’t have been blogging if there was no pandemic, so I’m quite grateful too but I just want it to end as soon as possible (It’s my final year god). Haha, many people get confused there, yes I’m 15 and in 12th.

  6. And yes the situation in our country is getting worse and worse. The streets directly behind our home is under containment. My parents are yet to get their second dose and my sister her first but there are no vaccines available. It’s so scary. I don’t understand how people can be so dumb. I mean still I can see some without masks.

  7. And also I listened to NCT white night but I don’t think I will listen to it again? 😅 in my opinion the lyrics are good but the song is not at all catchy? I should hv mentioned, I like songs which are catchy AND have meaningful lyrics. (Am I asking too much 😬😬) I think BTS does it well. And I like hylt of bp. Did u feel the same? Could u recommend some catchy songs of theirs?

    1. You really think so!? I don’t know, I’m listening to it on repeat actually. No worries, we can have different taste 😊 Yes, no one can beat BTS when it comes to lyrics. How you like that Hun, I like BP but just being honest, I don’t like their songs a lot, I mean lyrics (no offense). Yes I can, you mean BTS right?

      1. 😊. Bp songs are extremely catchy. But lyrically, the only song of theirs that I like is hylt. Nopes I meant NCT. I hv listened to make a wish and it’s quite catchy!!

      2. Yes, their songs are catchy but not really my type, hey I like Kill This Love. I’m really loving NCT a lot and my favorite by them is White Night so far and Make a wish is absolutely fantastic. I recommend Regular (Eng ver), 90’s love, Long slow distance, From Home, Love talk, Touch, Kick it, and also Boss. I haven’t listened to many of their songs but these are really great ones.

  8. Even in my state we are out out stock for the vaccines. You are so brave girl, I’m still afraid of Injections and need someone to hold my hands when I get one. Hopefully I’ll get it when it’s available.
And why do you ask such questions… Yessss, we want more about kpop!! 😁💜🎶

  9. I can’t imagine how scary the situation must be for you, but it’s good that you can write all your thoughts down on the blog and not keep everything inside. I know a fair few people that are anti-vaccine. My 60-year-old colleague refuses to get hers and it drives me mad. I had the first dose a couple of weeks ago and the only side effect I had was a sore arm. The benefits outweigh the negatives massively when it comes to the vaccine. I hope the situation improves soon and that you can get your vaccine. In the meantime, take comfort in all the things that make you smile.
