I’m so done with these people. Yes, I’m talking about the Toxic Fans and Haters, I don’t know what they think of themselves. I listen to music all the time and as a huge music lover, I stan lots of artists. I’m a girl of multi-fandoms, and it’s normal for me to see toxic fans and haters every single day whether it’s online or offline. Even though I’m so used to it, it hurts when I see these people, and somewhere inside, I feel pity towards them because of their low mentality or you can say so-called over-smartness.
I use Twitter on daily basis for many things. Mainly for blogging, but also to see what’s going on around the world. I love to see what’s trending and get to know lots of things, but sometimes it’s not that good. A couple of days ago, I saw this hashtag “#nctdisband” trending in the Entertainment section that really broke my heart. NCT is a K-pop boy band, with 23 members divided into four sub-units. I started to get into NCT probably one and half months ago and now I’ve become a huge fan of them. The hashtag was trending that day with 11.0K tweets at that time so I knew that it must be not something very serious but when I clicked on it and got to know what the matter is, it turned out not something very serious but very stupid.
The hashtag was made by toxic BTS ARMYs because of a bullshit reason that NCT can’t have a song titled ‘Paradise’ because BTS already have it. One of the biggest nonsense things I’ve ever heard of! Now before you start blaming BTS or saying something against them in the comments, let me tell you that BTS is my all time favorite group and I won’t stand something nonsense against them. The hashtags real ARMYs make trend don’t have only 11K tweets so it was just a worthless act by the toxic and stupid fans. For them, I want to give a piece of general knowledge that it is very common to have the same song titles for different artists. I don’t understand what’s the point of all this, it’s good that you love a group but why spread hate for others? But I’m glad that many NCTzens and ARMYs stood together and finished the matter.
I’ve experienced one more incident like this when I was watching Little Mix comeback with their brand new single Confetti’s acoustic performance. It was streaming live so I thought to check the live chat. And this time there were some toxic Blinks who were continuously commenting BlackPink in your area in the live chat to provoke the Mixers. I mean why did they have to do that when it’s Little Mix live? I respect both of the bands and their fandoms but it doesn’t mean that you always have to say my favorites are better than this band. Then it didn’t take long to start a fan-war in the live chat, so I decided to leave it and watch the performance.
Now before someone says that only toxic K-pop fans do these stupid things, let me clear that it happens with every artist whether they belong to Pop or K-pop. I’ve seen lots of comments by toxic Directioners also in BTS videos saying that BTS would have never achieved this all if One Direction hadn’t disbanded, and even that BTS took advantage of their disbandment. Now for those who said these things, let me tell you that BTS debuted in 2013. And they were (and still are) continuously making music and performing when 1D was active as a band. They are working hard since they were trainees and for the whole 8 years after they debuted, and some people still think that they don’t worth their fame. I can’t believe it. BTS still have competition with lots of outstanding bands out there but they stand out because of their hard work. Nothing could stop them from achieving what they have now. And for the true Directioners who are reading this post, I don’t want you guys to get offended, I’m also a fan of 1D and I’d be really very happy if they get reunited one day. I just want these toxic fans to get some common sense.
If you are a true fan, then you should understand that there are other people too from different fandoms who love and respect their favorite artists like you do. Before spreading hate against any other group or artists, first think about it that some people do the same to your favorite artists too and how much you hate that. It’s not about being better, it’s about being good. Respect each and every artist and their work. And if you still don’t like someone, let’s take BTS- my favorite band- for example, if you don’t like them, just ignore them. You don’t have to listen to their music or talk good about them, but you must not spread hate and talk anything rubbish for someone you don’t even know a single thing about. And the most important thing, don’t support those toxic fans and haters.
(Note: Through this post, I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings, but if it does for those toxic people, then I don’t mind. It’s true!)
