My best friend: A short story
Had a lot of friends
But never found someone like you
Only heard the word 'bestie'
But never understood
How it feels to have one

Others are friends too
I've been with 'em for years
But still hesitate
To share my feelings
To share my problems
To share my happiness

It hasn't been a long time
since I'm with you
But still you don't feel like a stranger
You're like my mirror-self
Who can understand me always

I don't think I could say these things
in front of you
But I know that you already know
That's why you're so special

You know what I'm thinking
even when I haven't told you
We fight everyday like crazy
But can't hear wrong about each other

I don't know how it happened
Even though I can't say
I hope you understand
How much I'm thankful to you

Thanks for coming to my life
Thanks for being my friend
Just thanks for everything

-Poorwa

So I wrote a few lines for my best friend a few days ago, as I wanted to share what she did for my family. Her name is Kh… nah I’ll introduce her with the nickname I gave her. So I call her ‘Khubu😍’ (it’s such a cute name, isn’t it?).

It happened about a week ago when she did a great job for my family. I was sleeping when she called me. I was actually shocked when she called because it was around 11:30 pm at night, I know it’s nothing to be shocked but I had a good reason….. Khubu goes to bed at 8 pm🥱, yeah you heard right, now you understand why I was shocked. Back to the serious point… she told me that a thief is at your uncle’s farm house and he is beating up the caretaker there. Actually she heard screaming voice from the farm house and saw the incident then called me without wasting a second. She even gathered her family members and they tied the thief with a rope, my uncle also arrived there after I called him and told what happened. Finally they handed-over the thief to police.

We are so thankful to her for that day, she really did an amazing job. I’m so grateful that she’s my best friend. Love you Khubu (Okay I don’t want her to read this post😅).

Thank you for reading this post. Is there any story about your best friend you would like to share? I’d love to hear from you.

Stay safe and take care!
