What should I write
today…
Do I have to fake again
With a seemingly excited ‘hello’
Or make it more dramatic
To show how happy I am?

Something motivational will work
Giving strength to others
 “I needed this today” comments
Someone might need me

I stand up and see myself
In the mirror someone’s crying
Lost confused tears
A voice strikes…
“Aren’t they mine?”

But don’t worry heart
You’re too good you can hide
This too will be kept deep inside
Where there’ll be no one
Who’ll even care to find
