Different Types Of Students In Online Classes

I got this post’s idea from Shelly’s post on her blog, which was about annoying experiences in a video conference call. So I thought why not write something like this in a student’s way. It’ll be sharing my personal experiences and I think it’ll be familiar to many students, I’m gonna talk about the legends of my class (including me) who’ve been the stars in our online classes.

Different types of students in online classes

The one who chats during the class

This person was me in the first few weeks after our online classes started, me and my bestie would chat a lot, but seriously I got serious after that. The chatting guy who might rarely have ever talked to you in classroom but always active to chat during online classes.

The one with network problem

Okay so everyone knows this guy with the biggest network problem in the world (I’m not making fun of anyone because it has happened with me but gratefully our teacher trusts me). The one who irritates the teacher with messages that I’m having trouble joining the class and always at the end teacher gives up and says, “You won kid”.

The one with best excuses when asked a question

My classmates are masters in making these excuses which make the teacher surrender or… mad. When asked a question by teacher, these students make great excuses- “Sir, did you call my name? Sorry I can’t hear you.” The one who chats’ sibling also stays quite active in the group chat and sends this message- “Ma’am my mic isn’t working” or “I can’t see anything, screen has frozen”.

The one who forgets to turn off the mic or camera

I have experienced this embarrassment two times. Once, during the Maths class, just after completing my classwork I shouted the chorus of Into the Unknown and… you’re smart, you know what happened. Thankfully, our teacher was busy with a phone call and didn’t hear my high notes but after that incident, Into the Unknown became my friends’ favorite song. And another incident was that after finishing my presentation I forgot to turn off my mic and answered Mom in a loud voice, “How can I eat? I’m attending classes.”  After hearing me shouting, the teacher and my classmates all started to laugh and sir said, “You can eat Poorwa, you’ve done your presentation.”

The one who doesn’t know what the hell is going on

This is the one who sleeps during the class and doesn’t even know that the class has ended or which subject’s class is going on. And when teacher questions him/her, this legend acts like- “Why am I here? Do I belong to this dimension?”

The one who studies no matter what

I and my best friends come to this group, you won’t believe. But we really take our studies very seriously and we love to study (I know not so cool but..). It’s okay to chill out sometimes but study classes should be like one of the most important things to a student.

So guys I hope you had fun reading this post. And for a little update let me tell you that my online classes for 12th grade will start very soon.

What are you up to these days? Could you relate to my points? Let me know your views on this post in the comment section.

Thanks for reading!

It felt Soo awkward 😅 but yeah a fun post. And yeah the network problem ones. People in my class do make a lot of excuses which I technically hate but sometimes do myself. Once again a fun post which made a smile on my face. Keep ✍️

      2. Okay. I know i am going to send it to wordpress and report it. It made my blood boil so much. Other bloggers need to know about this and report the post the person’s account should be deactived and banned by wordpress.

  4. I’m very careful with my mics! See, you forgot this category I suppose. This is the one 1 belong to. Telling the teacher through the chat about our mics not working even if it’s good as new 😛 I do this every single time. Cool post!!

  5. I love this!! I’ve come across a few of these in my work as an online teacher. There is always one who has technical/wifi/internet issues. There is always one who refuses to participate. There is always one who does something completely different. And finally there is always who has so much background noise that it’s hard to hear anything else. *sigh* the struggles with online education.
But despite it all, would you want to take online classes again?

    1. Thanks eonni! Ah, you know students *sigh*
I really loved it when my school started and we started to take offline classes but now I think that it was risky for everyone and somewhere it brought lockdown again. So I’m okay with online classes, till everything comes back to normal and school starts again.

      1. Yeah, during total lock down the government had shows on TV for each grade that covered everything we would’ve learned at school and we could forward any questions to our teacher. We also received work in the form of PDFs.
